Autism Diagnostic Clinic

We are proud to partner with Poppy’s Promise to offer an Autism Diagnostic Clinic for children and young adults.
The diagnostic clinic is a comfortable, family-focused experience.

How It Works

Our Autism Diagnostic Clinic offers a comprehensive and supportive assessment.

Pre-Assessment

Complete an interview and parent/caregiver questionnaire.

Assessment Day

Administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2). This typically takes 45-60 minutes.

Team Review

Our team – consisting of occupational therapists, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and a licensed psychologist – collaborates on the assessment.

Follow-Up Meeting

We discuss results with families and provide a resource packet if a diagnosis is given. This is also a time when families can ask questions and share concerns.

Additional Support

If an autism diagnosis is not given, follow-up appointments may be scheduled to address any concerns or for further evaluations.

Is there a waitlist?

While there is currently a waitlist for clinics and diagnostic services statewide, placing your child on the waitlist ensures they’ll be prioritized as soon as a spot becomes available. Getting on the list now can help you get ahead in the process, so don’t wait to secure your child’s place. Starting early can make a significant difference in accessing the support and resources your child may need.

To be placed on the waiting list, please call Little Lights Pediatric Therapy at (701) 751-0410 or Poppy’s Promise at (701) 204-7870.

Who can refer a child/young adult to the clinic?

Parents, caregivers, individuals, doctors, and other community organizations can refer patients to our clinic.

What ages does the clinic serve?

Our clinic completes assessments on patients ages 31 months to adulthood. If a child is under 31 months, our team will assess your inquiry.
